BREAKING NEWS: Kylian Mbappé sent Liverpool transfer message as Jürgen Klopp has already perfected $228m plan…

Liverpool sprung a surprise by making a move for Japan midfielder Wataru Endo last week but it would be even more of a shock (to say the very least) if Jürgen Klopp’s side made a move for Kylian Mbappé.

Despite that, the French forward is relatively frequently linked with a move to Anfield. Earlier this summer, reports in Spain named Liverpool as a potential next club for Mbappé and now the player has been sent a message about who he should join.

The Reds, though, even if the money was there to pay an enormous transfer fee and salary package, have other priorities that need sorting out. For starters, more depth is needed in Klopp’s defense.

Ideally, Liverpool would also be able to bring in another defensive midfielder of the highest level, with some doubts about whether Endo can be a long-term option given his limited exposure at the top level and the fact he is already 30.

On top of all that, Liverpool’s attacking prowess has already become clear in the early parts of the season. The one area that has been completely rejuvenated recently in Klopp’s squad is the forward line.

Kylian Mbappé sent Liverpool transfer message

Former Chelsea defender and French World Cup winner Marcel Desailly has explained why he believes fellow countryman Kylian Mbappé would be an ideal fit at Liverpool.

Mbappé looks increasingly likely to leave PSG either this summer or next with Real Madrid being linked with a move at the moment. The 24-year-old has already indicated that he won’t sign a contract extension with the Ligue 1 champion.

“They (Liverpool) did not replace [Sadio] Mané with someone who was going to be as good, someone who had his philosophy and impact,” Desailly told BoyleSports. “I do believe Liverpool could suit Mbappé to fill that hole. Liverpool are not at the end of a cycle, unlike Chelsea. The choice he has to make is not one or two years but four or five.”

Manchester United and Chelsea both struggled and lost while Liverpool beat Bournemouth 3-1 at Anfield in a game where the quality of Dominik Szoboszlai became even more apparent.

Luis Díaz was also excellent and Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah both scored. While Liverpool still needs to work on its midfield and defense, the attack is looking pretty well-stacked. That is a key difference to many of the Reds’ rivals.
