The Italian media today claims that Victor Kristiansen’s transfer from Leicester City to Bologna is now about to be done.
Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio writes on his website that the clubs are currently ‘closing negotiation’ for the 20-year-old.
As Leicester City and Bologna have ‘contacts in progress’ for the transfer, it’s said they’re ‘close to the agreement’, even though there’s one important piece left.
A replacement for Kristiansen is still missing, as the Foxes want a new left-back before he lets the Dane go.
That isn’t expected to take long, though, with Di Marzio claiming there’s ‘great optimism’ between the parties, and the deal is so close that the player could arrive in Bologna on Friday.
The story does not say how much the Serie A side are paying for Kristiansen, who’s valued by Transfermarkt at €12m and has a contract with Leicester City until 2028.
Previous reports from the Italian media had claimed that the Foxes would accept a loan with an obligation to buy, but would demand €3-4m up front before they even let him move.
Bologna wanted just a purchase option, so we will have to wait and see how they settle the transfer when all is announced.
