Liverpool have been installed as one of the front-runners to sign Sheffield Wednesday youngster Daniel da Costa.
That’s according to Portuguese outlet O Jogo, who claim that the Reds are vying with Manchester United for the 15-year-old’s signature. The two clubs are said to be ‘at the helm’ of any potential move.
Young Da Costa has reportedly been ‘making waves’ with his performances for Wednesday’s youth teams. As a result, he was recently called up to the Portugal national team’s ‘City of Football’ facility to be observed.
This has apparently piqued the attention of the likes of Liverpool and United, who are said to have been watching him ‘regularly.’
Portuguese on his father’s side, Sporting have also reportedly been keeping an eye on him, naturally. Said to be a speedy right winger with good dribbling ability and terrific balance, he’s claimed to hold Cristiano Ronaldo as an idol
