Breaking News: Liverpool hold hold talk with ‘electric’ star as Klopp consider

Fabrizio Romano has clarified that Liverpool have held talks with people close to Gabri Veiga as they consider submitting an offer for the Celta Vigo star.

Plenty of clubs have registered an interest in the Spanish youngster as he has continued to shine in La Liga this year.

With 11 goals and four assists to his name, it’s easy to see why the 21-year-old attacking midfielder is drawing so much interest.

which Liverpool will surely be tempted to trigger this summer.

Romano has stated that talks have been held regarding Veiga and that Liverpool are one of the leading clubs right now.

“This week Liverpool had some conversations with people close to Gabri Veiga,” Romano explained on the Here We Go Podcast.

He’s more of a quality player, but he’s an electric player, I really like him, he’s one of the best talents in the world. Liverpool are one of the most interested clubs in this player, we had reports of a done deal with Newcastle, that is not the case at all, Liverpool are really interested in Gabri Veiga.

“This is a big opportunity for Liverpool and they are thinking about that, is the player worth the money? Is this what we need?”

Liverpool have already signed Alexis Mac Allister, who plays a similar role to Veiga.

However, with the 21-year-old available at a cut price, this might be too good of a deal to pass up.

The Reds will be focused on signing a defender and holding midfielder, but someone like V.eiga is still an option for Klopp too.

Chelsea have also been reported as interested along with a host of other clubs from around Europe.

Veiga himself has recently changed agents which has further fueled the exit talks this summer.

“Yes, it is true that everything has been a bit of a mess, but I made the decision to change agents and I have decided on the one that is the best,” Veiga told reporters.

“It’s something that some footballers have to go through and it’s something that has helped me mature a lot.”

“Right now I’m not thinking about my future. I want to live in the present, which is the national team and a very nice challenge like the European Championship.
