Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are reportedly close to signing Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton and Hove Albion.
CM have reported that Liverpool will sign Alexis Mac Allister from Premier League rivals Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window.
The report in the Italian news outlet has claimed that Liverpool will pay €60 million (£52 million) to Brighton for the Argentina international midfielder.
Champions League winners also have a five-year contract worth €6 million (£100,000 per week) ready for Mac Allister, described as “incredible” by his Seagulls teammate Adam Lallana.
Juventus have been linked with the 24-year-old as well.
Alexis Mac Allister would make Liverpool better
In our view, Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Alexis Mac Allister would be a good signing for Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old is one of the best dynamic midfielders around, and the Argentina international would be able to make an immediate impact at Liverpool.
We saw during the 2022 Qatar World Cup just how good Mac Allister is.
The Brighton star played a big role in Argentina winning the World Cup.
Liverpool need to sign midfielders given that Naby Keita, James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all are leaving this summer.
Thiago has had injury problems, while Fabinho did not have the best of seasons.
