While Holiday is willing to accept a contract extension that wouldn’t cost nearly as much as Lillard’s, Lillard is currently in the middle of one.
Holiday fits better next to Butler and Adebayo as a two-way guard who doesn’t always need the basketball in his hands, but they’ll have to settle for the players they currently have on the team.
It will be interesting to see how the Heat fare in the playoffs, even though they have had a somewhat slow start to the season. They always manage to turn things around there.
