Fabrizio Romano says that Liverpool transfer will go through next week.
Liverpool youngster Fabio Carvalho will reportedly complete his loan move to RB Leipzig next week, with the Reds allowing the winger to leave for the season.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Reds and the Bundesliga side are set to reach an agreement over Carvalho as early as next week, with the Portuguese youth international expected to travel to Germany to complete a medical ahead of his loan move to Leipzig.
Fabio Carvalho will play for RB Leipzig on loan next season. The agreement will be completed next week, medical will also take place if all goes to plan.
Carvalho’s departure signals the first major exit from Liverpool this summer, with the 20-year-old struggling in his first year at Anfield having signed from Fulham just last year. However, this loan move to Leipzig could be a sensational deal for all parties.
As we know, the Bundesliga is a fantastic division for talented youngsters looking to gain crucial minutes. And for Carvalho, the winger could get just that for Leipzig, even with the east German side competing in the UEFA Champions League and potentially contesting for the title.
Liverpool will have to hope Leipzig get the best out of Carvalho.
Carvalho is clearly good enough to play at the highest level for a top club. And whilst Leipzig could be a good fit for the former Fulham star, Liverpool are getting no guarantees that their 20-year-old prospect will be a regular for the German side next season.
Indeed, Leipzig have loaned in players from the Premier League only to hardly give them a minute, namely Emile Smith Rowe from Arsenal and Chelsea defender Ethan Ampadu. And for Liverpool, they will have to hope Carvalho is given a real chance to impress next season.
