Breaking news : Where does Kentucky rank in the SEC basketball power rankings after two ranked wins?

Kentucky began SEC play in a bit of an uneven fashion. They got a win over the Florida Gators, who were a top ten team, but then lost to the Georgia Bulldogs. This week was better. The Wildcats went 2-0 with wins over two top 15 teams.

The SEC as a whole continues to be the dominant conference in college basketball. Nine teams are in the top 25 of the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll, including five inside the top ten.

This week did have some interesting results for various SEC teams. As expected in a conference this strong, every night brings a challenge. The Auburn Tigers have won nine straight, and are the class of the league right now, but after them, nobody has won more than four in a row.
