It hasn’t taken long for five-star offensive tackle Michael Fasusi to make waves in Norman. The early enrollee, dubbed a “freak” by analysts for his rare blend of size, strength, and agility, is already turning heads — not just with his physical dominance, but with his leadership.
Despite being just a freshman, Fasusi has quickly earned the respect of both veterans and coaches at Oklahoma. Teammates say he carries himself with the poise of a seasoned vet, showing up early, pushing the tempo in drills, and holding others accountable.
“Mike’s not just a freak athlete — he’s got that alpha mentality,” one assistant coach said. “He’s leading in the weight room, in film, everywhere.”
Standing 6’6” and weighing over 300 pounds, Fasusi has all the tools to anchor the Sooners’ offensive line for years to come. But it’s his mindset and work ethic that have already made him a foundational piece of the program’s future.
