BREAKING NEWS:ASTON VILLA 20-YEAR-OLD SUPPER STAR PLAYER SET FOR LOAN

Aston Villa are now set to sanction a loan transfer for the Villans’ academy talent Seb Revan in the coming weeks, despite him making Unai Emery’s pre-season tour squad.

That is according to Birmingham Live, which reports that Revan is due to leave Aston Villa in the not-too-distant future. Villa Park chiefs are keen to see the 20-year-old embark on a new temporary move to further his progress. It will be the third such move of his fledgling career.

Revan has already enjoyed spells at Grimsby Town and Hereford. But the youngster returned to the academy scene in 2022/23 before making the fringes of Emery’s squad. The Spaniard included the left-back on the bench for seven Premier League fixtures but without his debut.

Emery included Revan in a senior Aston Villa squad for the first time against Leicester City in April. He would go on to keep the defender among his unused substitutes for another six of the Villans’ final nine games. Though the only minutes Revan enjoyed came with their U21s.

A flurry of goal involvements in February and March convinced Emery that Revan was ready to help Aston Villa’s first-team. The left-back delivered three goals and an assist in their U21s having only produced one goal and one assist during his previous 35 games at the age level.

Previous loan transfers have helped Revan to develop

While Revan would not make his competitive debut, Emery has given the defender minutes in Aston Villa’s pre-season so far. The Villans’ academy product featured and showed some promise against Walsall. Now, he is set to leave on loan for a third time in the coming weeks.

Being 18 years old when he joined Grimsby ensured Revan still struggled with the physicality of the senior game. But he also enjoyed some bright moments and manager Paul Hurst said in August 2021 that ‘I think he’ll only get better. Now, Emery will hope Revan makes it true
