Kylian Mbappe finally meet with man City Boss pepp Guardiola

Man City Euro rivals round-up: Kylian Mbappé has reportedly made a huge salary demand, while a $109m move means Man City looks set to break a transfer record.

Liverpool has completed its second signing of the summer, but the work is far from done for Jürgen Klopp with more additions needed during the current window.

The Reds confirmed the transfer of Dominik Szoboszlai on Sunday, with the midfielder completing a $76m (£60m/€70m) move from RB Leipzig as he signed a five-year deal at Anfield.

The Hungary international becomes the second piece of Klopp’s summer rebuild, with Alexis Mac Allister having also arrived last month, but the Liverpool boss still needs more additions to fix the problems that arose last season.

Nevertheless, the Reds have laid down a marker for many of their rivals with their early business, and it will be up to them to respond over the coming weeks

With the window now open across much of Europe though, there will be plenty of players on the move, and Manchester City looks as though it’s about to make its mark

Meanwhile, as ever, there is plenty more speculation over Kylian Mbappé’s future at Paris Saint-Germain, with the Frenchman hoping to secure a move away.

Here is the Liverpool.com take on some of the biggest stories around European football today, starting with the PSG superstar.

Kylian Mbappé makes huge transfer demand
Kylian Mbappé has reportedly requested a huge salary package if he is to join any club this summer, with the PSG superstar said to be demanding $261m (£206m/€240m).

According to Marca, Mbappé would request the package from any club that comes in for him this summer, having indicated last month that he won’t sign a contract extension in Paris.

The report also states, though, that long-term admirer Real Madrid doesn’t see a move being on the cards this summer, and insists the 24-year-old will have to take a pay cut if he does eventually move to the Spanish capital.
