On January 2, 2025, a tragic incident unfolded in Fullerton, California, when a small plane crashed into the roof of a furniture manufacturing warehouse, resulting in two fatalities and 19 injuries. The aircraft, a Van’s RV-10, departed from Fullerton Municipal Airport around 2:00 PM PST. Shortly after takeoff, the pilot requested an emergency return to the airport, but the plane crashed into the warehouse before reaching the runway.

 

The crash caused a significant fire, leading to a four-alarm response from the Fullerton Fire Department. Emergency responders evacuated over 100 workers from the warehouse, and 11 individuals were hospitalized, while eight others received on-site treatment.

 

The identities of the deceased have not been released, pending notification of next of kin. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) are investigating the cause of the crash.

 

This incident highlights the critical importance of aviation safety measures and the need for thorough investigations to prevent future tragedies.
