British rock band Deep Purple is celebrating more than 50 years of their hit song “Smoke on the Water” with the “= 1 More Time” tour with fellow English rock band Yes.
“They will be shaking the walls of U.S. amphitheatres this summer with an explosive lineup of unforgettable hits taken from their repertoire of rock, spanning half a century,” the tour description reads.
The tour, in support of the band’s latest album “=1,” kicked off on August 14 in Hollywood, Florida, and will include two stops in Upstate New York as part of the final four stops.
Deep Purple and Yes will perform at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) in Saratoga Springs on Wednesday, September 4, at 7:30 p.m. and at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel on Friday, September 6, at 6:30 p.m.
