With Roland Garros only a few days away, American tennis star Taylor Fritz took some time off to enjoy the company of his girlfriend, Morgan Riddle. However, the couple were unable to avoid tennis entirely, as Fritz attempted to coach Riddle on clay courts.
Fritz has had a solid European clay court season, reaching the final in Munich a few weeks ago. Additionally, the American reached the semifinals in Madrid and the final eight in Rome last week. He is currently competing at the Geneva Open, where he is the third seed.
During his time off, Fritz decided to spend more time with girlfriend Morgan Riddle. A social media influencer, Riddle has no background in tennis. Therefore, it came as no surprise when the couple decided to go on a tennis date, on a clay court no less.
Riddle took to Instagram to post some pictures and videos, where she shared footage of her training session with Fritz. She admitted it was her first time hitting on clay, as expressed on her Instagram stories.
“First time hitting on clay,” read a caption.
Furthermore, she also shared small snippets of their date, where Fritz attempted to teach her the basics of playing on clay. This led to some amusing bickering between the two, with couple.
