Cowboys’ projected starters confirm with a great deal of their team.

The Cowboys have plenty of returning experience in 2024 among their starters.

The Dallas Cowboys chose not to partake all too much in free agency this year, and while a big reason for that was their confidence in their ability to perform during the NFL draft, another line that has been offered in terms of a defense is that they believe in the talent already on the roster.

In the months since most players on the team have offered similar lines of defense for the organization they play for (which is hardly shocking). Just last week wide receiver Brandin Cooks said a number of things in an interview (including a defense of Dak Prescott) and noted that he takes the team’s offseason approach as a sign of trust in him and his teammates and as a challenge that he wants to live up to.

The chaotic nature of how last season ended for the Cowboys spawned what feels like (in this writer’s opinion) a different sort of offseason volatility around the collective cooler of the fanbase. Maybe you don’t feel that way.

However, based on the team Dallas intends to field, it is reasonable to have faith in the unit.

The Cowboys’ predicted starting lineups from NFL.com show how much returning experience there is.
Recently, Gregg Rosenthal of NFL.com has been carrying out an annual project of his: projecting starters for each of the 32 teams in the league.

This is the way it sounds. Now that the main components of the offseason preparation have passed, Rosenthal assesses each team’s condition and makes an educated guess as to who will start on offence and defence among the 22 players for each squad.

This is his assessment of the Dallas Cowboys.
