Leeds United made multiple enquiries to Roma to sign attacker Ola Solbakken ahead of the transfer deadline, according to Yorkshire Evening Post.
The English newspaper reported on its website on 1 September that he appears to be heading to Olympiacos with him being pictured in Greece as well.
The 24-year-old is a full Norway international and appears set to seal his exit on transfer deadline day
In an ideal world, Solbakken could’ve been viewed as an alternative to Luis Sinisterra who seems to be linked with a move to Bournemouth.
The Premier League side appear all set to be securing his services ahead of the 11pm deadlin
However, he had a change of heart on the final day and Solbakken could’ve been a decent replacement for him.
That said, it seems Leeds acted way too late in the day and he perhaps always would prefer moving to Olympiacos.
Whether the Whites sign someone in the final hour of the window and perhaps submit a deal sheet to get more time, remains to be seen.
