Deal Agreed: Nottingham Forest SET TO SIGN Turkey goalkeeper bid £60m and set out for medicals

Nottingham Forest have been linked with a move for Turkey goalkeeper Altay Bayindir.

The 25-year-old is poised to join the Reds for £60m from Fenerbahce with a potential further £20m to be paid in add-ons.

That is according to Turkish outlet AS Marca , who say the keeper will be paid £25,000 plus bonuses. Bayindir is a Turkish international who has won five caps and was in their Euro 2022 squad.

He has started Fenerbahce’s early season games and has also been linked with a move to Manchester United to be back-up to new signing Andre Onana. Ironically, that transfer could allow Forest to sign Dean Henderson, who has now also been linked with a move to Crystal Palace.

It was reported Bayindir might be unwilling to join United as a back-up and the same issue could apply to Forest with Matt Turner making a strong start at the club after his move from Arsenal.

Forest are keen to bring in a second goalkeeper though with a move to Henderson proving impossible to complete so far with an injury to United keeper Tom Heaton putting a deal on hold.

Henderson has been on the bench for United’s two games so far this season with Ethan Horvath backing up Turner at Forest.
