deal completed: Nottingham Forest has finally announced the date of the 36-year-old coach’s Chris Cohen return.

Now is the ideal time for Nottingham Forest to secure Chris Cohen’s emotional return to the team. In 2021, the coach departed to join Nathan Jones at Luton Town.

Chris Hughton didn’t make nearly enough of an effort to retain Cohen at Forest at the time. The man who made 303 appearances for the team ought to have been given a role from the minute he made the decision that he wanted to try out men’s coaching.

Instead, Forest allowed Cohen to walk off into the sunset and embark on some work that has seen his coaching stock rise considerably.

Nottingham Forest has finally announced the date of the 36-year-old coach’s return.

It was announced yesterday that Jamie Robinson has now left Steve Cooper’s coaching staff. He’s headed off to focus on a coaching consulting business that he’s been doing on the side for a number of months.

As a result, the Reds now have space for another coach. Currently, modern-day Forest hero Cohen is out of full-time work, although he has been spotted helping interim Lincoln City boss Tom Shaw in recent weeks.

Cohen would be absolutely perfect to work under Forest Head Coach Cooper. Much like Reds’ boss,,, he’s in the early stages of his career as a coach,,, and the man who served the club with distinction would learn a lot from the 43-year-old.

Nottingham Forest has finally announced the date of the 36-year-old coach’s return.

What a man! For fans of a certain age, Cohen will be their favorite Forest player ever. He always gave his all in the Garibaldi,,, and but for three serious knee injuries, he would have played many more games.

Naturally, it’s not clear what Cohen fancies doing going forward. He may fancy a crack at managing himself. There is also a concept that he simply waits for Jones to get back into management and links up with him again.

The 36-year-old holds Forest close to his heart, however. He’s been spotted at home and away games since the club’s return to the Premier League,,, and surely he’d jump at the chance to return.
