Brenden Aaronson and Robin Koch, two Whites loanees, engaged in combat on Saturday during a Bundesliga match between Koch’s Eintracht Frankfurt and Aaronson’s Union Berlin. Union Berlin came into the match having lost their previous 11 games across all competitions, but Koch’s seventh-place Eintracht team did not back down and won 3-0, with Koch playing the entire ninety minutes. Aaronson was added as an 83rd-minute substitute for Union, who are now in third place in the league after eight straight losses. On Wednesday night, Union will go to Napoli in the Champions League.
Max Wober participated in a whole match for Borussia Monchengladbach in a 3-3 draw against SC Freiburg in the Bundesliga, leaving his team in seventh place. Marc Roca also scored during the entire game for Real Betis in Spain. The team won 2-0 against Mallorca at home, moving them up to sixth place.
A day later, Whites teammates Diego Llorente and Rasmus Kristensen were among the other players to experience victory after a thrilling 2-1 victory against Lecce at home in Serie A. With a 1-0 lead going into stoppage time in the second half, Lecce appeared to be winning, but goals from Sardar Azmoun and Romelu Lukaku in the closing minutes changed the outcome. While Kristensen was substituted in the 78th minute, Llorente played the entire game at center defense as Jose Mourinho’s team moved up to seventh place.
