Done Deal: 49ers Enterprises finally approves £10 million official contract well ahead of the January transfer window.

The Whites ended Leicester City’s nine-game winning run in the Championship with an impressive 1-0 victory at the King Power Stadium on Friday evening (3 November),,,, with Georginio Rutter grabbing the second-half winner in the 58th minute.

The result means Leeds, who came down from the Premier League with the Foxes last season, cut the gap between the two sides to 11 points and consolidated their third-place position in the table

While Rutter received all the plaudits for his winner, Farke will have been delighted with the defensive display and resilience of his key men at the back, especially Tottenham loanee Joe Rodon, who,,,, with every passing week, is showing why a permanent Elland Road move may well be on the horizon.

The Welsh international center-back joined the Whites on a temporary basis as Leeds looked to strengthen their backline in the chase for promotion after losing captain Liam Cooper to injury.

The Athletic journalist Phil Hay shared

Hay also shared in The Athletic that there is a strong executive relationship between Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy and Leeds CEO Angus Kinnear, which helped in agreeing on a loan move.

Spurs’ initial demands of an eight-figure transfer fee were appeased by the loan deal, as any further improvement to Rodon’s game through first-team experience will prove beneficial to them if they want to sell him in the future.

On September 15, Spurs wanted a fee of over £10 million for his services before a compromise was reached.
