DONE DEAL: Leicester City finally reach ‘agreement’ over seventh summer transfer deal…..

Leicester City have reached an agreement with Galatasaray over a transfer for winger Yunus Akgun, according to reports in Turkey.

Enzo Maresca is keen to add to his wide options before the end of the transfer window in under two weeks’ time. Having signed Stephy Mavididi this window, academy graduates Kasey McAteer and Wanya Marcal have started games on the opposite flank to the new arrival.

Marcal scored his first professional goal in Saturday’s 2-1 win over Cardiff City, after being selected to start his third game in a row. Despite his performance, City do need to add more depth to the area

.Reports in Turkey have linked City with an interest in Akgun for the last couple of weeks, but it now seems that a deal could be getting close. According to Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, the editor-in-chief at Turkish outlet SportsDigitale, City have reached an “agreement” with Galatasaray over a loan deal with an obligation to buy.

The deal will reportedly see the winger join on loan, but with a mandatory purchase clause of €10million (£8.5m). It is also said that Akgun himself has agreed a five-year deal with the club.

The report comes less than 24 hours after another Turkish journalist Salim Manav said that the transfer will take place “this week, unless there is a final change”. He also reported that the deal will see the 23-year-old join on loan, with an “option” to buy

.Akgun was a second half substitute in Galatasaray’s Super Lig win over Trabzonspor on Saturday, playing the final 26 minutes of the game. The arrival of former City man Tete and Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech in recent days may have freed up the player to move to City.
