OGC Nice have reportedly quoted Khephren Thuram at £50m amid growing transfer interest from the likes of Liverpool in the 22-year-old.
According to the Guardian, the France international is a target for the Merseyside giants this summer as Jurgen Klopp looks to overhaul his midfield options, with Alexis Mac Allister already being signed by Liverpool from Brighton & Hove Albion.
Whilst deal for Thuram could be difficult based on Nice owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s takeover bid for Manchester United, Liverpool remain in a strong position to win the race for the 22-year-old midfielder, who could be perfect for Jurgen Klopp’s system in the years to come.
Indeed, Thuram’s versatility and overall completeness as a midfielder makes the Frenchman an incredible asset already despite his age. And whilst Nice are occupied with their owner’s bid for the Red Devils, Liverpool should still consider a move for the French international.
Thuram’s stock is only going to increase as the midfielder continues his dominance in France with Nice and Les Bleus, and as a result, Liverpool simply have to make a move for the 22-year-old in the coming weeks if they’re to stance with any chance of signing the midfielder.
At £50m, Liverpool will be signing one of the best young players in all of Europe, and given what Klopp wants from his new signings this summer, Thuram is an ideal addition for the Reds, who could one day find themselves building the team around the French maestro.
