Between the two clubs, the alliance will offer first-rate coaching and support systems.

Rangers coaches will come to the Hong Kong-based club to conduct training sessions and further strengthen their already strong relationship with the players and staff, offering them more support and help.

In order to further improve their training resources and further develop their staff and young players, Hong Kong Rangers will also profit from having access to the first-rate online training course offered by the Rangers Soccer Academy.

Teams from Hong Kong Rangers will get the chance to visit Scotland as part of the relationship and get a firsthand look at the Rangers Soccer Academy setup.

The Hong Kong partnership is the latest in several flourishing relationships with clubs across the globe and also aims to elevate the commercial benefits for Rangers Football Club.

Hong Kong Rangers are a well-established club having been founded in 1958 where they have won multiple honours including the Hong Kong First Division title once, the Senior Shield four times and the Hong Kong FA Cup twice.

Historical links already exist between the partnerships with Rangers legend, Willie Henderson, having played for the Hong Kong Club between 1974 and 1976, as well as other former players including Jim Forrest, Alex Willoughby and Billy Semple.

Additionally, in previous years, the club has sent former Rangers players and academy teams to participate in the Hong Kong Soccer Sevens that have been hosted by Hong Kong Rangers.

“This is another exciting announcement as we continue to drive Rangers International Soccer Academy in different parts of the globe,” said Gary Gibson, Head of Soccer Academies and International Relations at Rangers Football Club.
