Everton has “landed at the door” of Dia’s agent to finalize the agreement for Everton has “landed at the door” of Dia’s agent to finalize the agreement for Salernitana striker Boulaye before the January transfer window.

According to Sport del Sud, which is quoting Il Mattino, Everton is one of several teams that have communicated with the striker’s representative.

The newspaper explains that Salernitana need to sell players and ‘raise cash’ before they can operate in the January transfer window and Dia is one of the players they could look to sell.

It didn’t, and he had to leave the club for a while before the matter was settled and he came back. However, this week, the club president reopened the case by announcing that he would sell to anyone who doesn’t want to be a member.
These remarks were made in conjunction with a report that detailed how Dia’s contract now includes a clause enabling him to join a Premier League team for €21 million should a bid be made.

Everton could therefore easily make a transfer if they so choose, though it is highly unlikely that they have €21 million to spend or would be permitted to do so given reports that they are once again sailing close to the wind in terms of acceptable losses following their 10-point

It is unclear whether Salernitana would pursue a loan deal given their own financial need, but one would think that it would make far more sense and be more financially feasible.

In any case, Everton is said to be still searching for the player they were supposedly interested in last summer before deciding to sign Beto from Udinese.
