Feyenoord appointed Nuri Sahin, a former Liverpool player, as Arne Slot’s replacement.

Feyenoord are eyeing ex-Liverpool star Nuri Sahin as a potential replacement for Arne Slot, who is set to join Liverpool. However, the deal may be delayed until after the Champions League final.

Sahin has reportedly impressed Feyenoord’s top brass in recent discussions about the role.

The former Real Madrid player, currently assistant manager at Borussia Dortmund, does not want his future plans to interfere with preparations for the upcoming Champions League final in London.

Besiktas, the Turkish powerhouse, is also said to be interested in Sahin following the dismissal of their previous head coach, Fernando Santos.

With nearly two years of managerial experience at Antalyaspor under his belt, the 35 year old Sahin is now at the centre of a growing tug-of-war for his services.
