final deal: Chiefs quickly extend a contract with their struggling midfield player

Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly looking to extend the contract of one of the their first team players!

Despite enduring a difficult season at Naturena, Siyethemba Sithebe looks set to receive another chance to prove himself at the club!

Sithebe made just 11 appearances for the club this season. He failed to find the back of the net for the club, nor did he manage to register any assists.

After falling down the pecking order at Kaizer Chiefs, many believed his time was up at the club. However, the latest reports suggest otherwise!

NEW CONTRACT LOADING FOR KAIZER CHIEFS MIDFIELDER?

“We met with the Kaizer Chiefs management two weeks ago, they confirmed that they will give him a new contract,” – his agent told Isolezwe as quoted by Citizen

We were supposed to meet again this week but it was found that Junior (Motaung) is out of the country. Now we will meet at the beginning of next week to finish everything.

“The way he came back from injury and played gave them the assurance that they still need him in the team.

“They said that even though he is old, the way he handles himself gives them hope that he can still play for six years. I just pray that the new coach will play him so that he can return to the national team.”

In other news, Mamelodi Sundowns look set to beat rivals Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates to the signature of TS Galaxy star Lehlohonolo Mojela.

The 27-year-old speedster has been one of the most exciting players in the top flight since making his debut for Galaxy last year.

Mojela has seven goals and one assist in his maiden season at the club. More impressive than his goals and assists, however, is the electric energy he brings to Galaxy’s attack!

And now, after shining for Galaxy, the league’s big boys appear to be lurking! Both Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly interested in signing Mojela; however, the player has picked his preferred next destination! Take a look at what he had to say below.

MOJELA PREFERS DOWNS OVER CHIEFS AND PIRATES!

“Maybe they (Sundowns) will sign me,” Mojela said on Metro FM, as quoted by Goal.

“I really want to play for Sundowns, but for now I am focusing on TS Galaxy because that is where I am contracted. I am focusing on my current job.

“But if it were up to me, I would go there to Sundowns. It will depend on what the chairman (Tim Sukazi) decides if Kaizer Chiefs registered their interest.”

Mojela appears to have taken a major u-turn on Orlando Pirates. The winger was pushing for a move to the Buccaneers just two weeks ago.
