Manchester United star Facundo Pellistri has told Uruguayan outlet El Pais just how thorough Leeds United legend Marcelo Bielsa is in his preparation – with Bielsa now boss of Uruguay’s National Team.
Pellistri, 21, earned his 15th cap for Uruguay on Wednesday, in a 2-2 draw with Colombia, in which out-on-loan Leeds United winger Luis Sinisterra came off the bench for the final 10 minutes.
Darwin Nunez scored in injury time to tie the game at 2-2. Pellistri has been a regular for Uruguay since Bielsa’s hiring, appearing in four of Bielsa’s five games as manager.
After the encounter against Colombia, the £9 million Old Trafford signing remarked about Bielsa, who was fired by Leeds in February 2022 after nearly four years in charge at Elland Road.
