But Newcastle United is reportedly interested in signing the former Leeds United star as well, according to Football Italia.
According to the source, the Magpies are looking to recruit a new midfield player in light of the suspension of Sandro Tonali, who was their main summer acquisition and is now out for the remainder of the year.
