The Miami Heat’s newest City Edition uniforms for this season play heavily into the team’s “Heat Culture” tagline.
The words “Heat Culture” will be emblazoned on the front of a black uniform in the newest ad, which was unveiled on Tuesday morning. The word “Culture” is written in a distressed grey typeface, while the word “Heat” is written in a significantly brighter shade of red.
The Heat president Pat Riley’s catchphrase, “The Hardest Working, Best Conditioned, Most Professional, Unselfish, Toughest, Meanest, Nastiest Team in the NBA,” is one of the uniform’s other standout elements. It is displayed down the right side of the jersey and extends onto the shorts above a gradient of red and black. On the right leg of their shots, player numbers will also be shown, paying homage to certain NBA outfits from the 1990s.
As part of the NBA’s first-ever in-season tournament, the Heat will make their debut in their new City Edition uniforms versus the Washington Wizards at Kesaya Center on Friday night. The outfits include a brand-new red court design.
I think it’s a great idea to designate particular courts for in-season tournament nights. We’ll check out how
