Ibrox View: Clement must put Rangers board under pressure to sign ace as transfer news emerges…..

Uncategorized

New Rangers manager will undoubtedly delve into the transfer market in January in a bid to establish his own team at Ibrox.

Right now, the Belgian is relying on a squad largely assembled by former boss Michael Beale, who brought nine players to the club in the summer.

Frustratingly, the one who is outperforming all the others is Abdallah Sima, the only one of the new arrivals who is only there on loan.

The striker has banged in nine goals from his 16 Gers appearances in all competitions, with six coming in his last five matches.

However, the latest update from The Scottish Sun (24 October) regarding the player is not good news for Rangers fans, with the newspaper reporting that the club do not have an option to buy the attacker permanently from Brighton.

Sima is currently on a season-long loan from the Premier League club, and looks set to return there once the current campaign is brought to a close.

But Clement could change all of that, as long as the manager puts intense pressure on the board to sign the star man permanently.

Other clubs may, of course, be interested given his displays so far, while Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi may even see a future for the attacker on the south coast.

All Gers boss Clement can do is persuade the powers that be in Glasgow to get out the chequebook and pay the Seagulls whatever it takes to land the player on a permanent deal.
