Rookie Jaime Jaquez Jr. recently explained the separating factors between the Miami Heat and other championship contenders
Ahead of the NBA playoffs, Miami Heat forward Jaime Jaquez Jr. is fully confident in his squad.
The Heat have won nine of their last eleven games and five in a row. After suffering a groyne injury, Jaquez experienced a brief downturn, but he is now playing at his previous calibre. He scored 26 points, grabbed five rebounds, and made three steals in the Sacramento Kings victory on Monday.
Jaquez thinks the Heat have everything it takes to defeat teams like the Boston Celtics, Milwaukee Bucks, and New York Knicks, even though they are seeded as the No. 5 club.
Overall, I believe that we’re just an extremely tight rope. “Everyone here is focused on winning,” Jaquez said to Anthony Pasciolla of Inside the Heat. “To win games and, you know, do whatever the team requires, everyone here is willing to give whatever it takes to do so. Everyone just prioritises the group.”
Along with guards Terry Rozier and Delon Wright, Jaquez is among the team’s newest signings as a rookie. He is aware of their roster’s symmetry, which not many clubs in the league possess.
While the Bucks got great Damian Lillard this offseason, the Celtics signed talents Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis. At the deadline, the Knicks acquired OG Anunoby, a former forward for the Toronto Raptors. In contrast to them, the Heat have made only modest acquisitions.
