Kelvin Wilson believes that Joe Worrall now needs to leave Nottingham Forest in the January transfer window. The Reds centre-back hasn’t made a matchday squad since the end of October.
All sorts of things have come out regarding Forest man Worrall in recent weeks. Perhaps the most telling piece of news was the claim that he’s no longer training with Steve Cooper’s squad.
It’s perhaps quite alarming just how quickly the Worrall fall from grace has taken place. In September, he was brilliant alongside Scott McKenna as Forest beat Chelsea 1-0 at Stamford Bridge.
Now, he looks to be on his way out of the club that he claims to have supported as a boy. Worrall is way down the Forest pecking order and he’s been linked with a meither Leicester or Middlesbrough.
The man who spent several years playing for Forest at the heart of a back four has now had his say on Worrall. He rates the player highly but thinks he should now leave the club.
He told the Forest Focus Podcast: “If I was in his situation, he’s the captain of the football club. I like Joe. If I’m going to be honest, speaking in a football sense not as a friend or ex-teammate, I think he needs to leave. I don’t think he’s going to play.
