Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are expected to put in another bid worth around €100 million for Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane, according to CBS Sports’ Ben Jacobs on Twitter.
Spurs have already rejected two offers from the Bavarians to acquire the services of the England international this summer. However, the Allianz Arena side are set to make a third proposal to convince the North London side to part ways with the 29-year-old.
As things stand, Tottenham have yet to inform Bayern regarding what it would take to sign Kane. Daniel Levy hopes that the English skipper, whose current contract expires next summer, will sign a new deal at Spurs.
Apart from the Bundesliga giants, Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in the striker. However, the 29-year-old is not keen on a move to the French capital. Premier League rivals Manchester United are also monitoring his situation.
However, the Bavarians are convinced that Kane wants to move to Germany in the ongoing transfer window. Levy would also prefer to sell the English national to a non-English club.
If the 29-year-old were to leave, Tottenham would lose a reliable outlet in the attack. The striker has been carrying our front line for a number of years now and has been consistently finding the back of the net.
Unfortunately, despite Kane’s best efforts, Tottenham have been unable to break their 14-year trophy drought. While the forward has plenty of individual accolades, team trophies have eluded him.
At Bayern, titles are almost guaranteed every season. The Bavarians have won the league 10 times in a row now. Although, the English skipper will be unable to move closer to Alan Shearer’s English top-flight goalscoring record if he goes abroad.
