Alexis Saelemaekers appears to be on his way out of AC Milan and there are reportedly two clubs in LaLiga who have expressed interest.
According to the latest from TMW, Villarreal were the first team to come forward and express an interest in signing Saelemaekers but they are not the only team in Spain who are keen, because Real Betis are also after the Belgian.
Saelemaekers joined Milan in January 2020, and in his three and a half year spell he managed to amass 140 appearances, scoring 10 goals. He has often been considered one of Stefano Pioli’s loyalists, given how much he has been used.
However, the signings of Christian Pulisic, Samuel Chukwueze and even Luka Romero have made it clear that Milan are heading in a different direction.
Their new-look right wing threatens to give the former Anderlecht man very little playing time. He is training aside from the first team squad, which indicates that he is no longer a central part of the plans.
