Tottenham Hotspur could now reportedly be about to step up their quest to bring Dusan Vlahovic to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
According to Rudy Galetti in GiveMeSport, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus in the summer transfer window.
The Italian journalist has claimed that Tottenham are looking at a potential deal for the £215,000-a-week (SalarySport) striker if Harry Kane leaves.
The Times has reported that Tottenham will sell Kane this summer if he does not agree a new contract.
The England international striker is out of contract at Spurs at the end of next season.
Bayern Munich are determined to sign Kane in the summer transfer window and have already made two bids for him, according to the report.
Manchester United have also been linked.
Galetti said: “As just told, Tottenham are targeting Dusan Vlahovic as replacement number one in the event of the farewell of Harry Kane.
“The Serbian player could leave Juventus in the summer transfer window for around €80m (£69m) and the Bianconeri are absolutely open to listen to proposals for him.
“Spurs are on the verge of taking the first steps to better understand the room for negotiation with the Italian club, because the price tag is considered too high. Tottenham would like to lower the request during talks.”
Tottenham Hotspur could be able to sign Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus
In our opinion, Tottenham Hotspur could be able to sign Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus in the summer transfer window.
Galetti’s report makes it clear that Juventus will sell the striker and have a price in mind.
All Spurs need to do is pay that sum.
We know that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is not particularly keen to spend big on players, but he simply has to cough up the cash to bring in a quality striker such as Vlahovic, especially if Kane leaves.
Vlahovic scored 10 goals and gave two assists in 22 Serie A starts for Juventus last season.
During the 2021-22 season, the Serbia international striker scored 17 goals and gave two assists in 21 Serie A appearances for Fiorentina, and scored seven goals and provided one assist in 12 Serie A starts for Juve.
