Just Now: Abdallah Sima’s made break record after a score at Hibernian….

Philippe Clement has named his first starting XI as Rangers manager.

The Belgian makes his dugout bow at Ibrox this afternoon as in-form Hibs look to spoil the party in front of a bumper crowd. Clement replaced Michael Beale in the hotseat during the international break and has the chance to cut Celtic’s lead at the top of the table to four points – for 24 hours at least, as the Hoops visit Tynecastle tomorrow.

However, the Hibees are unbeaten in their last six games after making their own managerial change, with Nick Montgomery succeeding sacked Lee Johnson. There’s no love lost between these two sides over the years, although Hibs haven’t managed to win in Govan since February 2018.

Rangers fans haven’t been shy in directing their anger towards the team this season but Clement will hope to turn those jeers into cheers come full-time this afternoon. And he’s been immediately boosted by the injury returns of Todd Cantwell, Ryan Jack, Danilo and Kemar Roofe, who all make the bench.

Check out the starting XIs below:

Rangers XI: Butland, Tavernier, Goldson, Souttar, Barisic, Lundstram, Raskin, Lammers, Sima, Wright, Dessers.

Subs: McCrorie, Ridvan, Jack, Cantwell, Roofe, Davies, Balogun, McCausland, Danilo.

Hibs XI: Marshall, Miller, Hanlon, Fish, Youan, Vente, Boyle, Newell, Jeggo, Le Fondre, Obita.
