Luis Sinisterra, a winger on loan from Leeds United, scored his first goal for Bournemouth last weekend, although it came during a 6-1 rout against Manchester City.
Away from the Championship, Leeds has several players on loan that are worth keeping an eye on because of the possibility that they will fetch a high transfer fee come summertime.
This season, Bournemouth has alienated a lot of people by signing long-term manager target Andoni Iraola, then snatching up Tyler Adams and Luis Sinisterra by taking advantage of a Max Aarons deal.
Sinisterra’s first goal for the Cherries since signing on loan was scored over the weekend, but it came as Man City easily defeated them, making it a bittersweet experience for him.
Man City’s superiority was too much for Bournemouth to handle, as they destroyed them, mostly thanks to Jeremy Doku, who is making the Premier League look simple.
The Belgian international, who cost £55.5 million to go from Rennes in the summer, demonstrated his talent that day by scoring and dishing up four assists.
Djed Spence, Doku’s former colleague at Rennes, was thrilled with the way the player was performing at Man City, particularly in this past weekend’s match.
Doku is the one person we should be most concerned about facing if we are promoted.
Right now, he appears to be unstoppable, so it should come as no surprise that Max Aarons, Sinisterra, and company were powerless to stop him from adding points to his total.
This Man City club will continue to thrash teams this season, and Bournemouth can count themselves lucky that Erling Haaland wasn’t in the mood to score as well and struck the woodwork in the first half.
From a less sour perspective, though, we should hope that this helps Sinisterra prove to be a valuable asset in the Premier League and earns us a huge sum in 2024.
