Head coach Mike McCarthy and the Green Bay Packers parted ways during the 2018 NFL season. McCarthy joined the team in 2006 and went on to have a very successful career with the Packers, which was capped off by his 2010 Super Bowl Championship. In 2020, McCarthy was hired as the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, where he has had a similar level of success. Through his first four seasons as head coach, he has posted a 40-23 record, and 2023 will be the third consecutive year the Cowboys have made the playoffs. Now, McCarthy’s future with the team received a fairly significant update.
