JUST Now: Leeds United defender sends one-word message to teammate after last 24 hours event….

Leeds United defender Junior Firpo has sent a message to Jack Harrison after what he did in the last 24 hours.

The 26-year-old, who is on loan at Everton, made his debut for the Premier League side in their 2-1 Carabao Cup victory over Aston Villa on Wednesday (27 September).

The midfielder posted on Instagram that he was “happy” to make his debut and thanked the Toffees fans for their support, with Firpo responding by saying “Superman” and a fire emoji.

The response from Firpo to Harrison’s post could be a bit controversial to some Leeds fans after a number of them were unhappy at the latter’s decision to leave the club.

He was keen to continue playing at the highest level and, after impressing for the Whites in the Premier League, an opportunity opened up for him to join Everton on loan.

With the Toffees holding an option-to-buy clause in his deal, it’s unlikely he will play for the West Yorkshire club again if the Merseysiders decide to sign him permanently.

Firpo is also a player who divides opinion amongst the fanbase after the Dominican has had a mixed spell since making the move to Elland Road from Barcelona in 2021.

But the 27-year-old, who is yet to feature this season through injury, is working his way back to fitness and will be hoping to be handed the opportunity to prove his worth once he returns.
