JUST NOW: Leicester City midfielder breaks his silence on the worst thing………………..

Nampalys Mendy claims that since leaving Leicester City, he is “living again.”

After his contract with the Foxes expired in the summer, the 31-year-old midfielder joined with Lens of Ligue 1. Admitting to being “just waiting” for his King Power Stadium contract to expire, he says Brendan Rodgers has “progressively sidelined” him.

He signed a contract with Lens that would last until 2025, and now he plays Champions League football, a far cry from the Premier League relegation he experienced with City in his last season there. Furthermore, he has determined that the appointment of Rodgers in February 2019 to succeed Claude Puel marked a turning point in his Leicester career.

I never had any feedback from him. He just repeated ‘I don’t have anything against you’.

“The worst thing was that when I wanted to leave, the club refused. At the end, I was just waiting for my contract to end. Honestly, I’m living again since that moment.”
