Liverpool are reportedly preparing to launch an offer to sign ACF Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat.
According to La Repubblica via Viola News, the Reds will soon make their first official bid for the Morocco superstar in the coming days, with Liverpool now leading the chase for Amrabat.
As per the report, Jurgen Klopp has already spoken to with the 26-year-old about a move to Anfield, with Amrabat seemingly sold on swapping Tuscany for Merseyside this month.
Lauded by Morocco manager Walid Regragui as a ‘world-class’ player, Amrabat is looking likely to be Liverpool’s second defensive midfield signing of the window after this week’s arrival of Wataru Endo.
And Amrabat would be a player that many Liverpool fans would love to see at Anfield next season, with the midfielder one of the most underrated in his position in Europe.
With Endo signed, sealed and delivered, work must now be made to bring another defensive midfielder to the red half of Merseyside, and Amrabat fits the bill perfectly.
The 26-year-old is yet to hit the prime of his career and has already shown at the 2022 FIFA World Cup that he can compete and dominate amongst the best players in football.
And with Liverpool now set to launch a bid for Amrabat, there is a chance that the midfielder could be made an official Red before next weekend’s clash against Newcastle United.
