Latest Nottingham Forest transfer news as the Reds reportedly agree terms with Corinthians defender Murillo

Nottingham Forest news from NottinghamshireLive amid claims that the Reds are close to agreeing a deal to sign Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi

Nottingham Forest are “close” to signing Callum Hudson-Odoi from Chelsea, it is claimed.

The 22-year-old rose through the West London club’s youth academy before making his first senior appearance for the Blues in 2018 during an FA Cup clash against Newcastle United. He has made more than 70 appearances for Chelsea

The forward spent the second half of last season in Germany on loan at Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen but failed to settle having provided just a single assist whilst also failing to score a goal during his time there.

And now he looks set to leave Stamford Bridge in a permanent deal this summer with Forest interested. Previous reports have also claimed that Fulham and Everton were also looking to sign the winger.

Sky Sports claim that Forest are closing in on a deal for Hudson-Odoi. It is claimed that “there is still work to be done” but personal terms are “not expected to be a problem”.

The report adds that “two other Premier League clubs are interested” and that they are “keeping an eye on his situation”.

Hudson-Odoi could potentially be Forest’s sixth new signing of this summer transfer window and the second arrival from Chelsea. Andrey Santos signed on loan from the Blues on Friday whilst Ola Aina, Anthony Elanga, Matt Turner and Gonzalo Montiel have also joined after Chris Wood’s loan move was made permanent.

Nottingham Forest have “agreed a deal” with Brazilian centre-back Murillo, according to reports.

The 21-year-old plies his trade with Corinthians, where he has burst onto the scene this year and become one of the first names on the team sheet, despite playing just 27 senior games.

He could now become the latest player from Brazil to make the move to the City Ground, where he would join fellow countrymen Danilo, Felipe and the incoming Andrey Santos.

That’s according to transfers expert Fabrizio Romano, who has given an update. “Nottingham Forest have presented first bid to sign Brazilian centre back Murillo from Corinthians,” he posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Terms agreed with player side as called by Brazilian sources, now clubs in talks as Nottingham are pushing.”

His information has been corroborated by Brazilian outlet R7 Esportes, who say Murillo has “already accepted an offer” from Forest, with personal terms fully settled.
