Philippe Clement impressed with Rangers forward Ross McCausland

The report has claimed that Clement wants the Rangers hierarchy to hand McCausland a new deal.

And, according to the report, Rangers have decided to do so.

Clement has only just taken charge of Rangers.

The Scottish Premiership club have offered the 20-year-old a new contract until the summer of 2026.

McCausland is out of contract at the Gers at the end of the season.

The Daily Record has noted that McCausland could not always play under then manager Michael Beale, but he did make a very positive impression under interim-manager Steven Davis.

In my opinion, Rangers forward Ross McCausland now needs to make the most of the chances he will get.

Rangers clearly think that the Northern Irish youngster has a bright future.

After all, the former Scottish Premiership club have offered him a new deal.

I think that Clement is going to hand chances to McCausland in the coming weeks and months.

McCausland may not be able to start week in and week, but he wil get chances as a substitute.

And, he will have to make the most of it.

McCausland should train hard and well and impress the new Rangers manager.

Rangers are second in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 15 points from eight matches.

The Gers are seven points behind leaders Celtic.

Rangers will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Hibernian at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership.
