Just Now: Rangers Made three Send Three Worlds Departure message to boss after New Coach appointment…

According to GiveMeSport, Rangers and Frank Lampard have had three rounds of discussions about Lampard taking the reins at Ibrox.

The news organization said on its website on October 4 that the Gers have “intensely looked at” the former Chelsea manager as they search for a long-term choice after Michael Beale was fired

It added that the talks with the 45-year-old have taken place over the phone and directly over the past two weeks, meaning contact was made before the previous custodian of the Ibrox hot seat was relieved of his duties on Sunday (1 October).

If the report from GiveMeSport is accurate, then the Rangers hierarchy was already lining up Beale’s potential replacement before the damaging 3-1 defeat to Aberdeen on Saturday (30 September).

That was the result that confirmed his exit from Ibrox, but it appears as though the board had potentially already made its mind up on his future at the club.

There are huge question marks over whether the Englishman is the right man for the job, though, after he hasn’t won anything in management and largely failed in his last two jobs.

If talks have already taken place and an agreement is edging closer, then the Light Blues could have a new manager in place heading into the international break, where they will have some much-needed time to work with the players on the training ground.
