Liverpool’s pursuit of Brazilian midfielder André Trindade has hit a snag, with Fluminense’s latest performance causing complications in the potential transfer.

As Jürgen Klopp continues to rebuild his squad, André has emerged as a potential successor to fellow Brazilian Fabinho. However, the transfer has been delayed due to Fluminense being in the midst of its 2023 campaign.

Liverpool’s need for another defensive-minded midfielder is evident but Fluminense is understandably determined to hold on to its talisman. Earlier this week, it was reported by Globo that Fluminense had rejected a $32m (£26m/€30m) offer, which would have been a club record sale

Despite this setback, Brazilian football reporter Emmanuel Luiz revealed that personal terms have been agreed with the Reds and André is eager to make the switch to the Premier League this month. Unfortunately for Liverpool and FSG, it seems unlikely that a deal will be completed in the current transfer window, reports the ECHO.
