The 24-year-old forward from Serbia has been playing well lately, scoring nine goals in his last seven league games and maintaining his momentum in spite of the team’s recent decline in performance. These days, he wants to prove that he is a striker worthy of the €80 million that was spent for him two years ago.

Due to an increasing payment structure, Vlahovic’s pay will rise to €12 million net per season starting in July. The striker’s pay is obviously an issue for Juventus, as they are still trying to establish a viable project while also operating in a precarious financial situation.

The Serbian striker has already notified his agent Darko Ristic that he wants to arrange a new deal with the Old Lady, and their early discussions with Cristiano Giuntoli, the sporting director, have gone well. It is anticipated that the two sides will get together in late spring to finalize the specifics of an agreement.

Although Vlahovic believes he is ready for a premier European team, he believes he still has business with Juventus and wants to successfully defend his high price.
