Kaizer Chiefs are believed to be making progress in the pursuit of one of their long-term targets in the hope of adding him to their strikers.
Prior to the upcoming season, it is thought that the Chiefs have already begun selecting and working on player targets.
The recruitment of a striker by the end of the season will be Chiefs’ top priority, according to a February story from this newspaper. Given that the team added Jason Gonzales and Ranga Chivaviro at the start of the season, that may come as a surprise. Unfortunately, neither of them has yet had the expected impact, nor has the club management.
STRIKERS CURRENTLY MISFIRING
For the Chiefs, Chivaviro has only scored two goals thus far. But there are two more than Gonzalez, another recent addition to the striker lineup, who has yet to score any goals.
