Kaizer Chiefs sign long-forgotten Bafana Bafana attacker successfully

Kaizer Chiefs are ready to rekindle their interest in a Soweto-born star who’s fallen out of favour with Bafana Bafana.

KAIZER CHIEFS TO REKINDLE SINGH INTEREST?

26-year-old winger Luther Singh has been unattached since the start of 2024 after being released by FK Cukaricki. According to KickOff.com Chiefs have opened talks to bring him to Naturena. He made just 14 appearances for the Serbian outfit with four of those coming in the Europa Conference League. Singh has had stints in Portugal, Denmark and Sweden, but never settled for long with one team. He made his Bafana Bafana debut in March 2017 and appeared 13 times for South Africa. The most recent appearance came in World Cup qualifying in 2021 against Zimbabwe.

“After their worst-ever finish in the DStv Premiership, Kaizer Chiefs are already preparing for next season and have opened talks with a Bafana Bafana striker, KickOff can exclusively reveal. Despite Amakhosi being yet to announce a new coach ahead of next season, the club is understood to be already working on new signings behind the scenes. This website can exclusively reveal that the Glamour Boys have opened talks with Bafana striker Luther Singh, who is currently a free agent after leaving Serbian club FK Cukaricki in January this year,” they said.

Both Chiefs and Pirates were reportedly monitoring the situation of Singh last month, according to Soccer-Laduma.
