Cleveland fans are hoping to see Mitchell suit up in the next game and prolong the 7-game series. But if he doesn’t play, have we seen the last of Mitchell in a Cavs uniform?That depends on whether or not he will sign an extension with Cleveland in the offseason, according to The Athletic’s Jason Lloyd.
Apart from the Cavs, the Lakers also have some serious decision-making to do in the offseason. Their star, LeBron James, has a player option and could opt out to become an unrestricted free agent.
Interestingly, James attended Game 4 of the Cavaliers-Celtics series, the same game that Mitchell missed because of his injury.
