Lakers News: Stu Lantz Singles Out Vanessa Bryant For Her Role In Kobe’s Hall Of Fame Career

When the Lakers acquired the veteran color commentator from the Charlotte Hornets, he became a part of the broadcast team. As a former NBA player, Lantz was undoubtedly familiar with the ups and downs Bryant experienced throughout the course of his incredible and complex career. Lantz witnessed Bryant’s development firsthand in addition to getting to know him extremely well. Kobe’s professional life included being married to Vanessa. The Los Angeles Lakers organization honored Bryant last week with the unveiling of a statue that is currently in front of Crypto.com Arena, also known as Staples Center for those who would rather not use any other name. Lantz was scheduled to serve as the event’s master of ceremonies. He spoke some really moving things as he brought Vanessa to the stage (see the video above).
After that, he told Vanessa a personal story about how he had once seen her in the stadium. Lantz proposed that Vanessa present a parenting workshop. He continued by saying that the Bryant kids had the best behavior. Going into further detail in his analysis, Lantz did concede that Kobe was a fantastic basketball player. He declared himself to be “great” at his work.

He concluded the brief narrative at the same moment that he turned to face Vanessa and stated, “Vanessa, you’re great at what you do.”
